CaringKind, NYC’s leading expert in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, is now recruiting runners to join team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s™ for the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon and help raise money for CaringKind’s programs and services that support NYC’s Alzheimer’s community. Since its inception in 2009, team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s has raised over $3 million to support free programs and services for caregivers, advocacy activities and research.
The marathon takes place on Sunday, November 5, 2017 and travels through all five boroughs of New York City.
Team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s will provide its athletes with an in-person and online training program with amazing coaches, free gear, personalized online fundraising page and support, a wonderful community of runners, a pre-race carb dinner, private transportation to the starting line, a post-race thank you reception, and much more.
CaringKind will notify all applicants of their status within 2 weeks of receipt of application.
CaringKind was formerly known as the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter.
• Team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s members who do not have a guaranteed spot in the 2017 marathon are required to raise a minimum of $3,500 by October 22, 2017. In addition, these runners are responsible to pay New York Road Runners (organizer of the TCS NYC Marathon) the standard runner entry fee for the TCS New York City Marathon upon successful registration for the race in September. Runners must complete half of their fundraising requirements by August 14, 2017.
• Team Athletes to End Alzheimer’s members who already have guaranteed entry into the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon are required to raise a minimum of $1,500 by October 22, 2017. Runners must complete half of their fundraising requirements by August 14, 2017.
ROLLING APPLICATION DEADLINES: CaringKind will have a rolling application deadline until the team is complete.
