FORGIVENESS – Part I: Forgiving the Personal is a devised intermedia performance integrating movement, words, live music, and new media scenography. Performers will unravel the consequences and the expressions of multiple viewpoints and stories of forgiving, providing the audience an opportunity to witness personal struggles and stories of forgiveness that will lay a path for both personal and societal healing. The book, The Wisdom of Forgiveness by the Dalai Lama, has been a springboard during development of FORGIVENESS – Part I: Forgiving the Personal, through individual journalism, group discussions, and improvisations.
