4,000 athletes will compete in the 16th annual 2016 Panasonic New York City Triathlon on Sunday, July 24, beginning at 5:50 a.m. at 99th Street and the Hudson River, with athletes expected to cross the finish line in Central Park beginning at 7:30 a.m. The International Distance race is produced and presented by Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life Company.
During the race, the only International Distance triathlon in New York City, participants will swim 1.5 kilometers (.9321 miles) in the Hudson River, bike 40 kilometers (24.85 miles) on the Henry Hudson Parkway, and run 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) in Central Park.
