There are now two overlapping but distinct proposals for how to rezone East Harlem. One is the de Blasio administration’s vision. The other is the East Harlem Neighborhood Plan, the product of a collaboration between some community organizations and Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito.

On Thursday night, the East Harlem Neighborhood Plan steering committee hosted a public forum to discuss the city’s plan. It was marked by strong protests from two different community organizations. Read our coverage of the event here.
