Speaker Heastie, Governor Cuomo, and Senate Majority leader Flanagan have more than one housing-policy matter on their end-of-session plates.

The city “pauses” a rezoning in Flushing and wades into a Long Island City neighborhood wrestling with the impact from an earlier rezoning wave. The Council considers tracking city commitments to nabes, the legislature considers bills affecting building heights and tax breaks, and the Rent Guidelines Board gets hears from the public on its proposed hike (or non-hike).
