The Big Apple is getting a new product line: Mi Bodega, which you can find starting later this summer at–where else?–your corner bodega. The Washington Heights–based Bodega Association of the United States, whose 7,200 member stores are mostly in New York City, is launching the brand. It will start with 30 to 40 staples, including rice, cooking oil and cereal. By partnering with U.S. and foreign manufacturers to make and distribute the products, the association expects to decrease prices for members by up to 25 percent–which in turn will lower costs for shoppers. –Debbie Nathan
